Seen employs a combination of technologies, including video and intaglio
printing. Using my stealth mobile phone camera, I am a secret picture-taker.
I select particular frames from these fifteen-second videos and translate
them to etching, a process more at home in the fifteenth century than the
twenty-first. These etchings were initiated at Women’s Studio Workshop
during a fellowship residency in 2005, and were completed at Robert
Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City.
